Jeannie Clean Terms & Conditions

Jeannie Clean or its authorized agent agrees to perform the work specified in a professional manner, using reasonable care to obtain satisfactory results. The professional cleaner is limited in attaining the best results due to the condition and nature of the article being cleaned.

Listed below are the conditions which are the most commonly encountered for which we disclaim liability and for which the customer agrees not to hold us responsible:

The nature of some spots makes it impossible to restore original color or texture. At times, a spot will appear to be even more visible after a general cleaning of the material. Spotting work on rust, liquor, cosmetics, ink, coffee, lipstick stains and the like is performed at the customer's risk because REMOVAL OF SPOTS IS NOT GUARANTEED.

Carpeting, by nature, has certain permanent characteristics (fluffing, blooming, pile, shading) that cannot be changed and may even be highlighted by cleaning.

The color fastness of fabric, leather, or other material depends on the material and the dyes used in manufacturing. After testing such materials, we have advised the customers regarding the adverse effects, which may result due to the cleaning process.

Backing, lining, and other materials and processes used in manufacturing carpeting and furniture may produce adverse results in the face material when cleaned. There is no way of determining which such results will occur.

The customer will not hold the company or its agents responsible for carpet shrinkage (some carpets get loose when they are shampooed and as they dry they will go back to their normal condition after they dry).

The customer will not hold the company or its agents responsible to COLOR FADING due to light, age, or weak or deteriorated materials.

PET DAMAGE & MAJOR ODOR TREATMENT: These treatments can only be guaranteed IF we are allowed to reach the affected areas, the carpet is pulled up and cushion discarded, the carpet is thoroughly cleaned on both sides with a special product that neutralizes the urine, the sub floor is also neutralized, and a special odor barrier is applied to the backing of the carpet, subfloor and baseboard.

PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS: Payment in full is due at the time of service. In the event payment is not made at the time of service and a bill out is necessary, payment is then due upon receipt and must be paid in full no more than 30 days from the date of service unless other arrangements have been made in writing. If amount due has not been paid in full within 30 days, any discounts made on the invoice will become voided and full original amount will be due immediately. Any further delay in payment will result in legal actions.

FORMS OF PAYMENT WE ACCEPT: Our customers can pay us with a check, cash, zelle to Jeannie Cleaning Inc 805-298-2102 or card payment (card paying customers only, will have a 5% card fee added to their invoice).

RETURNED CHECKS: A $50.00 returned check fee will be added to the invoice for each returned check.

The customer will not hold the company or its agents responsible for loose seams and/or delaminated carpet which has not been cleaned or maintained yearly in accordance with IICRC S-100 - S-600 standards.

House Cleaning Services & General Policies

PROPERTY ACCESS & LOCKOUTS: The customer is responsible for providing access to the property at the scheduled cleaning time. If our team is unable to enter the home (e.g., locked doors, changed alarm codes, or no one is home), a lockout fee of $50.00 will be assessed to cover lost time and travel expenses.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING: We require at least a 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service cost.

CLUTTER & PREPARATION: To ensure we provide the best possible service, we ask that you pick up clothing, toys, and other clutter before our arrival. Our professional cleaners are hired to clean and sanitize, not to organize personal items. If the home is excessively cluttered, we reserve the right to skip those areas or adjust the final price for the extra time required.

VALUABLES, FRAGILE ITEMS & BREAKAGE: Jeannie Clean exercises reasonable care when cleaning your home. However, accidents can occasionally happen. Customers are required to secure high-value, irreplaceable, or highly fragile items prior to the cleaning. We are not liable for damage to items that were improperly secured, previously damaged, or inherently unstable (e.g., heavy pictures hung with thumbtacks). Any breakage must be reported within 24 hours of the service.

PETS & SAFETY: We love pets, but for the safety of our staff and your animals, we ask that aggressive or highly anxious pets be secured in a crate or separate room during the cleaning process. The company and its agents are not responsible for pets that escape when doors are opened for equipment loading/unloading.

HEAVY LIFTING & HAZARDOUS MATERIALS: For the safety of our employees, cleaners are not permitted to move furniture or items weighing more than 35 lbs. We will happily clean around or under heavy items to the best of our ability. Additionally, outside of our specific carpet pet-treatment services, our standard house cleaners are not permitted to clean up human waste, blood, toxic mold, or other biohazards due to health and safety regulations.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE: We strive for absolute perfection, but if we miss something, please notify us within 24 hours of the completion of the service. We will gladly return to re-clean the specific area in question at no additional charge. We do not offer cash refunds for services rendered.

HEALTH CONDITIONS & ALLERGIES: Customers must notify us of any allergies, asthma, or other medical conditions prior to the start of any service. We strictly use standard commercial cleaning products commonly found in convenience stores, such as Windex, bleach, Fabuloso, and Comet. Furthermore, we do not use carpet deodorizing powders; we only use standard vacuums. If a customer is sensitive to any of these standard chemicals, we must be informed in advance.

CLIENT-PROVIDED PRODUCTS: If a customer requires or prefers the use of a specific cleaning product due to chemical sensitivities, allergies, or personal preference, the customer must provide that product for our team to use during the appointment. Otherwise, our standard commercial products will be utilized.

SCOPE OF HOUSEHOLD CLEANING: To ensure an efficient and sanitary environment, our team focuses strictly on cleaning structural areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, and general living spaces. We do not touch, handle, or wash personal clothing of any kind during our service.

DISH WASHING: Our standard house cleaning service does not include washing dishes. We kindly ask that kitchen sinks be cleared of dirty dishes prior to our arrival so that our team can properly clean, scrub, and sanitize the sink and surrounding counter areas.

ANIMAL WASTE: As a strict health and safety policy, our residential cleaning team will not pick up, wipe, or dispose of pet waste (feces, urine, or vomit) under any circumstances. Any pet accidents inside the home must be cleaned up by the customer prior to our scheduled arrival.
